02Background and service

Prosecutor and Marine judge advocate.

Scott received his B.A. from Hamilton College and his law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law magna cum laude, where he was the Managing Editor of the Buffalo Law Review. After law school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate where he became the Senior Trial Counsel at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and oversaw all military criminal investigations and prosecutions. He also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of North Carolina where he prosecuted federal crimes.

Prior to founding Iseman PLLC, Scott was a partner in a prominent, Albany-based firm, where he handled numerous criminal matters at trial and appeal. Scott also gained significant civil litigation experience in Article 78 proceedings, Title IX matters, civil rights claims under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983, personal injury cases, breach of contract, and business disputes.

03Community

A lifelong resident of the Capital Region.

Raised in Cambridge, New York, Scott is a lifelong resident of the Capital Region, and returned home after his military service. He is active in the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Saratoga County Bar Association. Scott also previously served for several years as a member of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce’s Veteran’s Business Council and as a Director of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
