Iseman PLLC (“the firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit scottisemanlaw.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
01Information we collect
Information you give us directly
When you fill out a contact form, request a consultation, call our office, or send us a message, you may provide:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Whether you are a new or existing client
- Your preferred form of contact
- General information about your legal matter
A web form is not a confidential channel. Never describe the conduct under investigation, name other people involved, or send anything you would not want a prosecutor to read. Give us your contact information and the general nature of the matter, then call (518) 633-1528 and speak with counsel directly. Submitting a form does not create an attorney client relationship; see Section 10 below.

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- IP address and approximate location
- Browser type and device information
- Pages viewed, time spent on pages, and links clicked
- Referring website or search terms
- Cookie identifiers and similar tracking data
02How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule your consultation
- Communicate with you about your potential or existing matter
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- Measure Site traffic and how visitors reach us

03Calls and text messages
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you to respond to your inquiry and to communicate about your matter. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of retaining the firm.
- Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies with your matter
- Reply STOP at any time to end text messages; reply HELP for assistance
- We never share or sell mobile numbers or text message consent to third parties for their own marketing
04Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to help us understand how visitors use it. We may use third party analytics services, such as Google Analytics, which collect information about your visits through cookies and similar identifiers.
You can manage or turn off cookies through your browser settings. Turning off cookies may limit some Site features. To learn how Google uses data, visit google.com/policies/privacy/partners. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
05How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the Site, manage communications, host data, and run analytics. These vendors may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Within the firm. The attorney and staff who need the information to respond to your inquiry or work on your matter.
- Professional advisors. Accountants, insurers, and consultants under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements. Courts, regulators, or law enforcement when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, our clients, or others, always subject to attorney client privilege and our duties of confidentiality.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of firm assets, subject to the New York Rules of Professional Conduct.
06Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, consistent with New York’s SHIELD Act, which requires reasonable data security for private information of New York residents. No website or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you need to share sensitive details about a case or an investigation, call us at (518) 633-1528 rather than using the web form.
07Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide legal services, meet our professional and ethical record keeping obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.
08Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, applicable state privacy laws may give you the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal data
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of personal data
- Opt out of targeted advertising
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12. We will verify your identity before acting on your request. Some information is exempt from these rights under attorney client privilege, the work product doctrine, or our professional obligations, and information we hold as counsel in a legal matter is governed by those duties first.
09Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it. This does not limit how the firm handles information when representing a client who is a minor, which is governed by our professional duties.
10No attorney client relationship
The information on this Site is for general information purposes only and is not legal advice. Submitting information through the Site, sending us an email, or texting us does not create an attorney client relationship. An attorney client relationship is formed only when you and the firm sign a written representation agreement. Until then, do not send confidential information.

The Site may link to third party websites, such as Google Maps, video platforms, and legal directories. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing any information.
